The 13th Annual Georgia Lymphedema Awareness Day event is being held at Dekalb Medical Center on Saturday, October 16. There will be a course the last weekend of January 2011in Atlanta for therapists and breast cancer survivors to learn the Circle of Healing exercises.  This program went through a clinical study (randomized controlled trial) and showed that breast cancer survivors who did this program had improvement in arm function, decrease in symptoms of discomfort and pain, decreased extra cellular fluid, and improved quality of life.  For more information, go to link below.
